Warcraft 3: ROC 1.12 Loader

Discussion in 'No-DVD/CD Fixes & Patches' started by Naithin, Nov 22, 2003.

  1. Hey there, am looking for a loader prog for War3 1.12, basically a no-cd prog that doesn't edit the original file.

Have found various references to the PvPGN loader, that appears to work with 1.12, and in later releases of it, even work with the official b.net servers.. But have found no place that actually has the d/l working correctly.

Any help would be appreciated, atm am running my backup cd via Alcohol emulation, but it seems that running it off backup makes it crash a *lot*, as every so often the emulation fails. Works fine if I use the original CD, so looking at trying a loader now to see if that might help.
  2. I can help you..

pm me an ill give the warcraft 3 tft1.12 loader.. k ill wait.
  3. Sent this via PM, but might be useful for others as well to get the clarification.

Hey there, I'm actually looking for a RoC loader, as I don't have TFT. If you got a RoC one, that'd be really great, but I don't think the TFT one is any good? Not sure though, might do both, the readme should tell ya.

    Thanks for your responce tho,
    -Nait,.
  4. Got this one sorted on my own. Reason I wanted a loader was that I believed that a no-cd patch wouldn't work with b.net, didn't believe the claims in past posts that it did.

Well, in actual fact it does. The patch on gameburnworld.com I believe, does. The wc3allfixedexe patch does work on b.net, I just trialed it. No crashes like when I was using alchohol to emulate my copied cd as real.

    So hurrah. :)
  5. Oh cool, I was using PvPGN loader, but it wouldn't let me online with it, ill have to check it out.
  6. Gaaaah. It /seemed/ stable for a while, but it turns out I still crash using this after all. Just about at the end of my rope with this one, tried everything, from vid res, to disabling 3d sound, to disabling all sound, red/ling all maps and checking correct file sizes.. At a loss for what must be causing the crashes now. *sigh* Tried reinstall from original CD, repeatedly, nada really seems to work.
