You have some points. I especially love your "Eat a Peach" analogy - I love that album But I think that you are incorrect to say that vinyl cannot be recorded onto a PC. I have many vinyl recordings archived onto my PC. I recorded them since they were rare and not in the best condition - so I hooked my phono stage into my sound card's RCA Source Input and recorded the entire album, split the tracks up, and edited the files so that I took all the audible ticks and pops out of the recording. What I got was an amazing sound (better than any CD rip I had heard) and perfect preservation of a priceless vinyl recording. However, yes, I doubt that vinyl was meant to be used as a means of portable audio In fact, I don't think this idea was even conceived when the phonograph got popular
Its in excellent condition, but no thanks. Megadeth is my favorite band and I intend on keeping this baby with me for a long time.
Megadeth your favorite band?!!!!!!!!!! If I didn't know better I'd think you were flirting. A woman that likes, no loves Megadeth, it would figure. And you're born a thousand miles away and decades later: who say's God doesn't have sense of humor? Oh well... You know most grating is the fact I went through two SFSGSW LP's and 3 CD's. back in the day..........is this what growing old feels like? reach your hand under my shirt pull the strings that make me work jaws will part words fall out like a fish with hook in mouth rewrites each story , every poem that ever was Eliminates incompetence, and those who break the laws Follow the instructions of the New Way's evil book of rules Replacing rights with wrongs, the files, and records in the schools I'm not a fish I'm a man Hook In Mouth
I actually have quite a big Megadeth collection, 30+ CDs, some shirts, 3 autographs, posters, comics, etc. I even got to meet them once. "Hook In Mouth" is a great song! One of my faves!
Well I guess next lifetime I'll have to look you up. I hope I got the lyrics right. It was from memory.
Thanks lokesh for really making me feel my age you whippersnapper! Vinyl is only similar to a cd in that it's round and stores music. It sounds much better than CD.
I'm sure he knew what vinyl was, but probably called it something else. If he's ever been to a club, he knows what an LP is, afterall Right on http://store.acousticsounds.com/browse_detail.cfm?Title_ID=9358 That just arived at my door today. How sweet the sound is
