Hi. Dunno what happened but Zonealarm was not starting, I deleted some temp files, after reboot I got a blank desktop. This dissapeared after uninstalling Zonealarm but now ICQ etc won't connect and I can't access some pages on the internet. Anyone know what can be wrong? Should I do a repair XP? Thanks.
Nevermind, got sorted after I tried uninstall and install ZA again Strange how ZA could affect programs even if uninstalled, prolly some file problems.
Yea, ZoneAlaram and other Internet Security programs (ie Norton IS, Norton Personal Firewall. etc) will all do things similar to this. Glad it's sorted though!
Yeah some programs rely on a firewall to function properly as you just figured out, most people dont use a software firewall because when they do crash uninstalling and installing can be a pain so they just use their modem/router firewall because when and if it does crash all you need to do is reset the modem/router.

I want to create my own chat program,so when others click on little button on my site they will be able to chat with me-i found many of programs like HumanClick or BoldChat but they are all for supporing customers!When you download one of those then you put a small button on your site and then when someone else clicks on it and they are contacted to other person for help on some product-but I want it same but for friends...can you please help me(don't get me chats via internet-mIrc,yahoo...-i need a program if you know what i mean!
