I just found out at Gamers Kingdom that Rocol has died. http://www.gamerskingdom.net/forums/showthread.php?t=864 A sad day for us all. He has helped me out with so much in my time online. I was shocked to read of his passing.. R.I.P. Rocol, you will be missed.
Oh man, that's sad news to me, and a great shock. I'm really sorry to hear this, as i thought that Rocol was a great member of MGF and contributed to this forum a great deal, as i bet he did on the other forum as well. I hope that his family is alright in this hard time and support each other. R.I.P Rocol

Rocol was a great person, and you didn't need to know him personally to see this. He was always willing to help someone out and treated everyone on these forums, and GKF, and anywhere else with the utmost respect. He went out of his way on numerous occassions and I appreciated it greatly. RIP Rocol, keep smiling in heaven mate

I am simply stunned. I didnt have any personal corospondance with Rocol or know anything about his personal life, but he was synominous with MGF and will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to him and his family and all the dear friends he leaves behind.

I just don't know what to say! This news comes as one hell of a shock and Rocol will be missed by everyone here at MGF. My thoughts are with his family and they have my deepest sympathy. Goodbye Rocol m8. I never met you but we were mates for years via the internet and I'm going to miss you.
It's with a big sadness and tears in my eyes I write this. I got so shocked and sad when I recieved the news yesterday, I still barely can't believe it. Rocol has been my internet friend for many years. We have had a really close contact, we talked on GKF, MGF, msn, yahoo etc. He always listened to people and was always so polite, nice and caring. We used to joke and laugh, and now I can't do that anymore. A big empty feeling. I miss him so much and I so wish this wouldn't have happened Roy you will be greatly missed and you will always be in our hearts. May you rest in peace.
HUH what? who? where? when?....Rocol? gone? for real?that is impossible...he was such a great guy....a very unbiased person, always looking out for others and putting them before himself..he will be missed so very much....so sad to see him go...Rest in peace old friend....
Is MGF going to do something in tribute to him...? Can somebody write a biography about him and post it or put him in the hall of fame??? I think we as MGF community really should do that... make a hall of fame and post a biography for late members....

Jag, I always really thought that too... it's amazing what someone on a forum can do to influence your life, and I think that from Rocol, we can all see that it is absolutely possible. You could see that he was a truly remarkable person without even meeting him in person and I wish there was a way to tell that to his family. They should also know how the way that their family member helped all of us out. I really miss having him around, especially here and at his forum, GKF. He really made that entire forum what it is today and there's a huge emptiness there that makes me pretty sad. He was kind to everyone and really made everyone feel welcome there. Miss you having you around Rocol ... but I am glad that you are in a better place, mate.
If only......... I wish his family could know that there isn't a church large enough to contain everyone who would attend his services if they could. everything matters, nothing is unimportant
I am glad his son made OG and NV aware about this, as we wuld all be won dering where he disapeared to. If anyone suddenly stops posting on the forum, most peeps assume that IRL has become busy. Man, this too fast than I really don't know what to say. The only I can say he used to be a very polite moderator never lost the control and try everyone in a good way even with the hyper moronic spammers. He also was very heplful when someone had a problem . Sad this happeneed even when we members don't meet each other in real life we familizrize with certain members in the way or the things they post and see aspects that identltify each one and after all these years of moderation from him. The forum ain't gonna be the same without him He R.I.P
This is sinking in now... he was my fave moderator I will miss him. I cant pretend to have known him well. nor that i was one of his real freinds. but I can say that i have always believed he was 1 of the good moderators if not the best. he would be understanding and never abused his powers. i still find it hard to word my feelings. all i can say is i belive we will all miss him and feel the loss. The forum will be a colder place now without rocol's warmth.
He was a great guy to chat with, and to have on the boards... his life experiences not only computing but his work and play were always helpful to know when needed. blessings to his family in this time of need R.I.P. Well, this is terrible news, I am speechless and terribly saddened. My condolences to his family and friends, and to all who knew him. It never comes across an internet connection that anyone can just dissappear and be gone forever. It makes me respect our mortality a little more. R.I.P rocol you will be missed.
I am glad that there does not seem to be any mention of suffering or ill health that would have made his passing painfull, I cannot begin to imagine how his family must feel. i had only known Rocol through MGF and i will dearly miss him, for people who truley knew him it must be one of the most painfull things that could ever happen to them. I hope they find solace in the fact that he was loved by all and that no one could have wished to meet a nicer person. Monday i and all my computers will remain offline. which has not happend before as a mark of repect. id like to take this moment to mention, that I was saddend agin today. I saw rocols avitar in a post as i was scrolling through. and i felt joy for a second. i belived that there had been a mistake and that the rocol i knew was alive an well. I felt hollow when i scrolled up and saw that it was not he, but some one els who used his avit as a tribute. i understand that this was never the intention. and i believe it is a touching tribute, it was just so dissapointing that i had to mention it.

No shambles but it all happened so fast, I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye GKF will be closed on Saturday in memory to Rocol.
I find it difficult to belive he has passed away i mind ages ago i chated with him on the MGF livechat, he was completely mad and cracked some of the funniest jokes ive ever heard. Without a doubt he contributed so much in recent years on this forum and some form post or whatever will be made in remeberance of him. This is how I'll remember you dude, may you rest in peace Rocol.

Wow. I'm utterly in shock. He always came off to me as a brilliant guy, with a sincerely caring heart. He truly felt like somebody you'd want to be around - somebody you could just talk about the weather with and feel right at home. This is a sad day for us all. It's only too bad this is the news that hits me after being absent for many months from the forums. I now wish I'd more time to speak with him like I once did.
