Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone could help me get a NO CD-crack for Sim City 3000 not Sim City Unlimited. I actually own the game but I go to college and it is a huge inconvience for me to carry a bunch of cd's around and sim city 3000 is one of my games that requires a cd everytime i want to run the program was wondering if anyone could help me out, i actually own the game and everything so i hope its fine i tried the ones listed on the megagames website, for some reason the ones where it tells me to use a hex editor to modify values, it doesnt seem to work for me because the original values they tell me to change arent there (there are different ones instead) thanks in advanced!

Which version exactly you have? 1.0? Or did you install patch? Because only one I found asking you to edit hex values is for patched 1.1 version. In worse case scenario, you can reinstall game, and do not install patch, because I saw many cracks for 1.0, that need only file replacing. You can also try german crack, I do not know for this game, but at some games it worked for me, and language was still english. Or experiment with 1.0 cracks, sometimes that works too, but you will get hybrid version. I did at some games both those stuff and it worked. Just make sure you have backup of original exe, in case it doesn't.
well i probably have version 1.0 as i got the CD since 2000 and it is the original once since then. i haven't downloaded any patch so that's probably why the hex editor did not work. the main problem that i have when i use all the 1.0 cracks is that it tells me "this program is not compatible with windows and check your system if you need x64 or x82 (32-bit) software, contact your software publisher for updates". I get that for about 4-5 of the hacks so they dont seem to run at all for me, let me know if you have AIM or MSN i can contact you directly DST and we can solve it that way. whenever i replace the exe file it gives me a "exception encountered???" and game closes and does not start up properly.
I am running out of options, you have two alternatives. 1. You try installing patch, that should make those hex values appear. Here is patch: http://dlh.net/cgi-bin/dlp.cgi?lang=eng&sys=pc&file=sc3k11e.zip&ref=ps 2. You create .iso, and mount it when you want to play. You can use CloneCD to create CD image, it worked once for me, and Daemon Tools to mount it. Lite version of DT is free to use. Other than that I do not know what could you do to make it work. But that error you get from cracks is weird... Only other thing I would try is compatibility mode with older version of Windows.
