I am going to upgrade my pc and wanted to know what you guy's thought of the following spec? Case - Wizard case WI20AL + 600W PSU Motherboard - Gigabyte AM2+ Nvidia 720 DDR2 ATX A L Cpu - AMD PhenomX4 9650 Quad Core AM2+ 4MB 2.3GHz Ram - Corsair Memory 4GBKIT (2X2GB) 800MHZ NON ECC CL5 Graphics card - XFX GTS250 1GB
Overall those are pretty good specs. What exactly were you planning on doing with the system? Were there any specific games you were going to be playing, or are you just trying to prepare for all games in general?
well one of the main games will be gta 4. which does run on my current spec system which is amd 3800 dual core 2ghz, 2gb ram and a xfx 8500gt 1gb. I have to run gta 4 on 800x600 and everything set to low or off and I get 15 fps. so how much better would my new one be?
I'd go for a 275 or 280 for video-card. I also recommend a better power source unit ( something between 800 and 1100). Also a system based on DDR3 memory it will allow you to upgrade later on easily.
