Hello all, As you can tell, there have been some major changes made to the forum. We decided to make the switch from vBulletin to XenForo. All users, posts and threads were imported from vB to XF. The majority of the transition is done, but there are a few things that need to be finalized which will be done shortly. Some of the old code may be broken so bear with us while we fix those remaining issues. Please login like normal with your old vB info or reset your password if necessary and log in again. If you have any trouble, feel free to contact us.
Style issues as well as some clean up will take place at a later date. We wanted to resume normal ops as much as possible as quickly as possible. 8 hours of downtime is more than enough.
wb lokesh There still fixing some loose ends around the forums as you can see in some sigs and also there trying to get some more styles for the theme.
I'm a little late to the party but as someone who used to frequent MegaGames in the late 90s/early 2000s when my sole gaming console was a PS1... I'm loving the update! Look forward to much idling on MG again Now that I've been browsing for a bit, would you ever consider pruning the old threads and starting this forum "clean"? There seems to be a lot of "0 reply" threads on here from the last few years....
Megagames wasn't around in the 90's and this forum had a different name in the early 2000's? And if we got rid of every thread just for you then no would ever come back?
1999: http://web.archive.org/web/19991117004707/http://megagames.com/ Late 90s but I'm trying to remember what the forums were... GameCopyWorld or something? And apologies I was referring to pruning the threads that were created in the last year in the general forum that seriously look like a bot made them. But nonetheless its good to see this site again and the forum software is great!
Been a long-time user of Megagames, it was a fairly slow loading site for it's time, and never really got to a point where it loaded "quickly". I used to use it as a test to see if someones internet connection was working, because if it was, I could at the same time get a general idea if it was going quickly or not (this was before the days of speedtest etc). I still check it every couple days to see any cool tech or game news, but I was pleasently suprised at how incredibly fast megagames' main page loaded with the new style. The design and layout is extraordinarily good and as a graphic designer, I can really appreciate the obvious work that's been put into the design. After many years of viewing, I had to create an account here to simply say "Great work"!
This place looks great. Just stopped by on a whim as well. Hope everyone is doing well! We should all bind together and get this place up like it used to be back in the day (wow, I feel old)!
