Ok, first, I'm a girl. So be nice. In this blog it lists the DS as the "girl's best gaming toy". Is the DS known to be for girls? Why? What gives? Did you agree with the blog?
I don't really agree with that blog, none of Nintendos consoles have been made gender specific, it's for everyone, and I don't see DS beeing different. I haven't tried DS but I'm sure there are lots of stuff for boys too Perhaps more games for younger but nothing else.
I agree with NV. Although I'm not the biggest fan of Nintendo (Mostly because I feel I'm not in their targeted audience of typically the younger crowd) they still make solid consoles with good games.
I've only ever used a DS once and I can say I was very unimpressed in general. Can't beat the N64 However to answer your question, the one I tried was pink, so THAT one was definitely for girls xD
Lol, yea the whole pink (and various other colors) is getting pretty popular. That's why you see it more and more now on these portables, cameras, laptops, netbooks, etc
Lol, yes I agree. I'm just pointing out that it's here to stay, since people are so into 'customizing' their stuff these days.
With the 3ds coming out soon, I have a feeling that it will attract a fair share of male players as well as girls. This is the one to look for. And no, the Ds isn't for only girls. As Vile pointed out they are marketing and developing towards a younger audience. Innovation wise, Nintendo is always one step ahead of it's competitors.
