Yep.. good call & find! Its no cracked game.dat but at least with a cracked image u need to bother with ever worrying about waiting on cracks. Now if only EA could frick'n add more content to Zero Hour other than balance tweaks that have now broken part of the game! <sigh>
Newbie question How does a mini-image work and where exactly can I find it on gamecopyworld (or on gameburnwolrd)? Zero Hour rocks but it's to small, hopefully the will make a new and much bigger game in the C&C series or in the Red Alert series.
sorry, but that doesn't work. the game accepts the CD and starts but it somehow detects the hack and all your units explode while playing or when you win the map, you get the "you lost" screen. now i really need a 1.03 NOCD or i have to reinstall the game with 1.02 patch again... -andy-
You DON'T HAVE TO RE-INSTALL!!! To roll back your version, just re-apply the patch (1.01, 1.02 whichever you had working b4). If you get old version errors, move the error box out of the way, and see what file it's up to. usually, worldbuilder.exe, generals.exe or game.dat. Then, grab your Zero Hour CD1, and open the data1.cab (Use WinRAR) and then extract the needed file/s to your Zero Hour Directory. Run the patch, and it will update your game. And I myself wwould like a 1.03 No-CD patch. I play both single and multi, and the solution given meets only half my needs. /Mizu
Yar. I just got ZH from a friend that lobotomized meh head to get it, but i already got bored of it, as iusually play my games online, cause i find CPU opponents boring/unstimulating. Anyway am trying to get me the game to work online, but im locked with the "validation issue". Is there a way to "send it shopping for xmas" ? :blaclol

in this case, it was the solution to completely reinstall the game. after a clean reinstall, the mini image works i think i was missing some registry values and so the copy protection got triggered.. -andy-
I tried the game.dat patch on gamecopyworld and i cant seem to get it to load the game, especially since generals.exe is the file thats needs to be patched, right? That stupid macrovision tmp file keeps screwing me over. Any ideas? I used to own this game, but lost the cd's, and thankfully kept my cd key (a valid online one) and after downloading the game i cannot play online. I tried something and it sort of worked. I used an old generals.exe patch and it allowed me into multiplayer but all the games are blackd out and it states that i have a different version of zero hour so i cannot connect to games, even with the 1.3 patch and 1.3 game.dat file installed (obviously as my generals.exe patch is for an old version). Anyone have a new generals.exe or another way to play online?
there is no new generals.exe. that file has never changed since the original 1.0 game version.. -andy-
Only problem is when using the game.dat from GCW is it still asks for my CD which is in 2 peices. i was smart enough to burn a copy unfortunately it can tell its a copy so i need these. The exe is different because it freaked when i tried using the cracked 1.2 version exe
i don't know what you're talking about, because as i said, generals.exe has never changed. the 1.03 NOCD game.dat works fine, just remember that you also need the 1.00 NOCD generals.exe.. -andy-
ok here is my process. Install ZH. install 1.2 replace game.dat and generals.exe with cracked ones. 1.3 is released i replace the cracked exe and game.dat with the originals as it always yells about it if i dont. Install 1.3, replace the exe with the cracked one and add the new "cracked" game.dat from GCW and viola crash. 1.2 works flawlessly never had a problem with it, so if like you say the exe is the same then why is it now crashing where as it never did before?
Did you try uninstalling ZH first, then install ZH, patch 1.03 update, then copy the cracked files over the top?
you can easily check yourself that the .exe doesn't change.. just remove ZH completely, install, make a copy of the 1.0 .exe, patch to 1.03 and compare the copied 1.0 .exe file with the .exe file you have after patching to 1.03... i don't know why it's crashing for you, for me the 1.00, 1.01 and 1.02 NOCD .dat files worked and the new 1.03 NOCD .dat file also works fine. -andy-
Ok so here's my problem Originaly installed generals, patched it to newest version, installed original Zero Hour, patched it to the newest version ( 1.03 ) replaced game.dat with the one from gamecopyworld but it still asks for a cd :S plz someone help me, could it be that I have the european version ?
Have you got the cracked "generals.exe" file? You need two files, the game.dat and generals.exe. Download one of the older nocd files from GameCopyWorld, it should have the nocd generals.exe file.
Have you tried the cracked image file and http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/portal.php, but you will need an original key.
Well, i have ZH working, i can play single player, but the cd key is the issue i need to overcome for online playing.
what exactly is the issue here? if you have lost your original key, contact EA. if you never owned an original key, buy the game. that's how it works. -andy-
Going back to the original question, 1.02 crack works with the 1.03 version of the game, thats how I have it working atm.

Hurray! Now how about the global community try their hand at a NoDVD for Act of War v1.1b? Thats a little more significant since ZeroHour already had a Mini Image crack.
Can any 1 help me out I have a cracked version of Command and conquer generals zero hour I can play the single player mode with no problem but when I try play online it says I have 2 download the update 2 play online when the download is finished it says I have 2 log off and apply this update (65543_65536_english.rtp) how do I apply this update any help would appreciated the file goes to my patches folder
