OCALA, Florida (AP) -- Two boys were arrested for making pencil-and-crayon stick figure drawings depicting a 10-year-old classmate being stabbed and hung, police said. The children, charged with a felony, were taken from school in handcuffs. The 9- and 10-year-old boys were arrested Monday and charged with making a written threat to kill or harm another person. They were also suspended from school. One drawing showed the two boys standing on either side of the other boy and "holding knives pointed through" his body, according to a police report. The figures were identified by written names or initials. Another drawing showed a stick figure hanging, tears falling from his eyes, with two other stick figures standing below him. Other pieces of scrap paper listed misspelled profanities and the initials of the boy who was allegedly threatened. The boys' parents said they thought the children should be punished by the school and families, not the legal system. ARTICLE I guess this is what it's come to now...
The obvious thoughts of murder were there .. despite their age, they were still probably capable of carrying it out .. we had an 12 year old boy, rape his teacher and then steal her car, here, just a couple of weeks ago

Simply said, They should be arested for that sort of behaviour. i dont know if any of you people are old enough to remember those 2 10 year old boys killing jamie bulger (3), if not read thiis. Please note i did not write this and have edited asmuch of the text as i saw fit, a 3 yr. old was taken from a shopping mall in Liverpool by two 10-year-old boys. Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only a second and Jon Venables took his hand and led him out of the mall with his friend Robert Thompson. They took Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the way stopping every now and again to torture the poor little boy who , was crying constantly for his mommy. Finally they stopped at a railway track where they brutally kicked him, threw stones at him, rubbed paint in his eyes It was actually worse than this...What these two boys did was so horrendous that Jamie's mother was forbidden to identify his body. They then left his beaten small body on the tracks so a train could run him over to hide the mess they had created. These two boys, even being boys, understood what they did was wrong, hence trying to make It look like an accident. If Robert and Jon could be so evil at 10 years old, imagine what they could do as adults! By the way These 2 were released a little while ago and now have been granted anonymity by the courts to live a happy and peacfull life. 10 years old..... Aint that difrent.
First of all I have no problem with the police searching the children for weapons before taking them into custody. But I think taking them out of school in handcuffs is ridiculous. I'm not sure the kids should even have been arrested. But if punishment is warranted then I don’t agree that the parents and school should be responsible for the punishment.
