The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
I just played the demo at Electronics Boutique. This game is great! Just like OoT and even though cel shaded, still seems 3D. I like the new look, and can't wait for the game to come out. Anyone else played it yet? What are your thoughts?

Yep I got to take a good long go at wind waker at our local
wal-mart.
At first from what I had seen in mags and the pic on the web I thought this game was going to suck becuase it looked to 2D card board cut outish but now that I had a chance to play it, man this is going to be a great great game.
All the pictures in the wourld couldn't do this game justice.
The reason I say this is when you are playing the game it is in fact a 3D game just like Oot and MM but with a sliiiiiiiiick and smoooooooth cartoonish feel.
There is really nothing you can compare it to.
Plus now I went out to day and bought like my 5th gamecube system.
For some odd reason I keep selling them because of those people who bash the cube but all in all this is a great system and will have the greatest zelda of all time for now atleast untill the next one comes around.......
Oh by the way has anyone here beaten the first boss?
I can't figure out how to damage him?????? Please help me!!:flame2:

Yeah, this game will be so good. I haven't fought the boss, some kid didn't get off so I had no time to play really. Did you pre-order to get the OoT bonus disks Anubis?

Yeah I reserved it so I will be getting the bonus disc.
I was even thinking about importing the japanese version to hold me over till it comes out here in the states.
What do you think I should do wait or import?
It will cost the same either way I buy it.

Well, in a couple of weeks you'll get the OoT bonus disk, that should last a while. Also, you could get Skies of Arcadia, a good, pretty long RPG. I got it today and it's outstanding. Maybe you can do this to hold you off, and get 2 different games instead of 2 of the same.

I played the JAP version for about 10 minutes, and, in a word... WOW! I promptly stopped though as I couldn't understand a bloody word, and I don't want to play it until i've got the finished version. (It's actually released in Japan, but I played a DEMO).

I think the graphics look awesome. Cel shaded, which was what Zelda games were always supposed to be, but it really looks 3D at the same time.

i played it at babbages. i couldn't figure out how to damage the boss either. tingle (your in-game assistant) said something about using the evironment, but i couldnt figure it out. i was thinking that maybe you have to use your sling to hit it in the eye or something. it's kinda hard to concentrate in the middle of a store with people standing around. i didn't mind the new graphical style, but i wasn't impressed. then again, i only had about 10 minutes with it. i think the facial expressions will make a big difference.
i also preordered. i can't wait to play the OoT master quest. also, someone mentioned . is it really any good? it got rave reviews when it was available for the dreamcast. i'll probably pick it up regardless, but if it's really good, then i may pick it up sooner.

I got it the other day, and I think it's awesome. My friend had it for DC and he likes this one even better, because of the new features added. It's a fairly long game too, with cool things like air ship battles, bounty hunting, and more. It has side quests and of course, the main objective, and the story is very interesting. Check it out.

Its weird, you have to aim at the tail sticking out of the top of the cave with your rope. If you hook it you get the dragon its attached to mad. i wont say anymore, its pretty cool actually. The one thing i am looking for is the multiplayer ability. no longer do i have to set and watch a friend play, or have a friend watch me, they can join in and help with a GBA. that is sweet.

well, it's somewhat two-player. the second player uses a linked Gameboy advance to act as an assistant. the assistant is "tingle", the funny looking guy that sells maps from Majora's Mask. The second player can provide assistance by dropping health and dropping bombs to kill enemies, among other things. the actions of tingle cost Link rupees though. you can check gamers.com for more info.

Master Quest is the same story and everything from OoT, but the monsters and puzzles have been changed to make it harder. I have been playing it for a few days now and there is a noticable difference. Mini-boss monsters are everywhere, accomidation has been cut, but end bosses are the same. very very sweet. it feels like a new game.

i believe it was released in japan for the n64 using the cd drive (cant remember the nintendo name) that attaches to the bottom of the N64. But it never made it to the US until now on the GC bonus disk.
