need help uninstalling program keeps freezing

I need help I am trying to uninstall Yahoo messenger and it keeps freezing when I try to do it. I had downloaded the newer version last week and everytime I try to use it it keps freezing or boots me off, so I thought I would just go back to the older version I have.

I got an error message when I tried to uninstall it the first time.

"Invalid VxD dynamic link call from Vwin32(05) + 0000119E to device "002", Service 1.
Your windows configuration is invalid, run the windows setup program again to correct this problem."


Any ideas on what I should do?

Try uninstalling it in "safe mode".
works for me.
