just got a gamecube, and I love it

Honestly, I really can't see why so many people dislike gamecube. It is definately not a "kiddy" console as many people have said, I mean Resident Evil 1 and RE Zero are both awsome adult games that you can't find anywhere else, not to mention Eternal Darkness. I really fail to see all the "kiddiness" of it. Monkey Ball is actually a pretty fun game, and no one can diss Super Smash Bros. Melee, I mean, that game is sweet. I just got a gamecube for $50 and I couldn't be happier. Looking back at my two years of owning a PS2, there really has only been 4 or 5 games that I really enjoyed, and I like every game I have played for GC so far. Not trying to start a console war, just think that people need to look past the so called "kiddiness" of GC and realize that there are a ton of good games for it. Just to clarify which ones I'm talking about, I'll list them:

Metroid Prime
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Eternal Darkness
RE1 and RE0
Animal Crossing

(and these are just the ones exclusive to gamecube)

I wouldn't mind getting one...I don't brand it as a kids console at all...

Can't buy one yet though, in the last week I spent 600 quid on the car and also another 200 on a digital camera.

I may get 1 in the near future coz there r some quality game out 4 it like Resident Evil and Die Hard...Its is getting better!!

i would only get a GC for Melee and Rouge Squadron - this is because the system is DIRECTED towards nintendo fans and little kids, I am neither. It would embarras me to own one

I got one last December, and I still haven't gotten board with it. It got off to a slow start in the beginning, just like XBOX and PS2, but they have so many great games coming out now. I'm glad my birthday is right near Christmas so I can get Resident Evil Zero and Metroid Prime.
