HL2 Lan Play

Hello, Anybody knows how to play hl2 on lan??? (multiplayer)

There is an option in the game "Friends"

i don´t know how to start a lan server.

well each player needs thier own version of the game for a start i think, using one disc on a few pcs wont work...

but firstly man u gotta get both pcs connected via a lan network, wired or wireless, your choice. to test if u can see the other pc try going to network places and see if u can see the ither pc from there.

im just giving advice on what i did yesterday at my uncles work but im sure others here will be able to help yuo a lot more than i could. providing your intentions are legal.

HL2 doesn't have multiplayer, the friends option is so you can track your friends while your playing on HL2.

HL2 Deathmatch is the closest thing to multiplayer in the HL2 world.

With that, just create a game, and when your buddy loads HL2DM, just click on the "LAN" tab and your game should be there.
