Yeah too bad, Xbox sucks! It has Fable and thats about it. All of it's other exclusive titles are crap.

After logging a good 4 or so hours in Metroid Prime I have come to the conclusion that this game meets or exceeds my expectations in every respect. It is completely faithful to the metroid series, and if you own a gamecube I HIGHLY recommend you buy this game immediately! You will thank yourself.

A PC gamer (me) has played another FPS on a CONSOLE dissapointed. I tryed out the demo, and this is exactly what fps should NOT BE! The controls suck, and the controllers CAN'T produce a good fps axis. YOU CAN ONLY LOOK UP AND AROUND WHEN YOU HOLD DOWN R!!! YOU CAN NOT MOVE AND LOOK AT THE SAME TIME! WHAT KIND OF CRAP IS THIS?!

well it LOOKED promissing.. just buy it because the new releases of tendo's games lately have been VERY BIG dissapointments, and tendo is loosing LOTS of money because of this. buy it just cuz if u happen to like nintend (i dont btw

Metroid Prime does a wonderful job of staying true to the roots of the series. If you read a review you will see that this means metroid prime is not a fps, but an action/adventure exploration game from a first person perspective.

I have almost 7 hours of gameplay in and I hated the fact that you couldnt look and move at the same time. However, the control scheme does grow on you and after the first lil level you basically have it down and it is quite natural. It is indeed a wonderful game, great if you have never played a metroid game before, and even better if you have. Pick it up.

I must admit that I am a bit confused by your comment... hopefully I can clear things up a bit. I was not trying to defend a game that looked good but played bad. I did not even mention graphics, although the consensus is that they are amazing. The controlling of Samus is the center of the gameplay aspect of metroid and as such will make or break it in the eyes of the gamer playing it. When you add to movement jumping, weapon switching, visor switching, and the locking on of enemies and the control scheme does a very good job of giving you the ability to do what you want, when you want. The pace is a fun fast, at least as far as I am and I believe fits the mood nicely. If you are a hardcore fps fan and want nothing but fps, then I doubt you will like this game. If you give it a chance to be the game it is supposed to be, then I think you will find yourself awake at 4am wondering where the time went.

hardcore fps shooters only really work well with a mouse an keyboard i guess, but the game sounds very interesting, i didnt know much about it untill now

I am among the most fervent of supporters of the mouse keyboard combo, and for good reason. It is perfect for the FPS genre of which I have played much of on my PC. I was extremely skeptical of the decision to take Metroid into the first person for that very reason. But I must admit the moniker FPS is not appropriate for Prime; First Person Adventure as the developers described it is much more effective. The control scheme for the FPA is perfectly implemented in this game. As a rabid PC gamer this suprised me immensely. After playing the demo I still wasn't sold , as many of you seem to echo, but once I played the game beyond the demo I was pleased beyond all reason. The lock system is excellent and the freelook function is not nearly as awkward as many have made it out to be. This is coming from a person who once thought that ANY first person type game would be unsuited to console gaming. And to one extent I still believe that, as far as FPS's go the mouse PC combo will always be infinitely superior to dual analog sticks; but as previously stated - Metroid Prime is not a FPS. And it should not be approached as such. I made that mistake initailly, and have been proven to be incorrect. If you play the game as it was intended , as an adventure with shooting elements- as metroid has always been- the game does not disappoint in any aspect ; especially controls which have been maligned in this thread.

My friend bought the game, and he thinks, as well as I, that it's a good game. I think Aman dislikes it partly because he thinks Nintendo sucks, but maybe he just doesn't like the gameplay, as he said. Anyway, I think it's a good game.
