Mario Sunshine
Sheesh is this game looking crappy or what? I was expecting a lot more from it. I guess Nintendo was really aiming at the younger (really really young) audience.
blah!!!! :cussing:

I saw it I know..
Is it for Gamecube like that also childish looking Mario Brother with Luigi and the haunted mansion??
They look like they have the same maker to me.
Well.. I think games are getting into that chidish look so that society gradually starts to re-sensitize from all that de-sensitization of blood games like Soldier of Fortune 2..
I've seen it in C&C as well... in C&C Original and Red Alert 1 when you killed someone you'd see there corpse in whatever way they died.. Squished, you'd see lotsa red resembling blood.. electricifed.. corpse would be a black char from its electricution..
Now all you see is there death in games like Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2 and the semi-new Renegade...
I WANT BLOOD Dang nabbit!
Blizzard.. havent been monitering them much but at the looks of Warcraft 3 and the 4 sides.. Elves.. Orcs.. Humans.. Dead.. I see the dead part.. and I think they just can't avoid gory looks with the dead side...
Only thing its got that animated look... so its into that cartoonish violence....
I should have started a thread about this.... *snap*

Mario Sunshine is alright... I played a demo. But, it's not as good as the previous ones, and is kind of boring.

LOL! But its true... not just Mario cleaning up but most gamers. They are taking out the bloody effects youd see in somthing like Soldier of Fortune and Duke Nukem 3D and just making it less and less violent each time..
I can't think straight at moment. stomach ache from eating too much acidic food.

Hey, guys, come on, what do you expect, its MARIO!, Mario is not a serious adult game, its made for all ages, its ment to be fun, and i can'tsee why people are complaining why its childish, PS2 has games like, shrek(great film), peter pan, monsters inc., jak and dexter, and babyish games like that, there has never been a bad mario game, i feel sure that sunshine will not change anything, show some respect, it's mario
Cheers, COLT

I don't need violent games, I just like to play GOOD games. Look at early ones, like pong... it wasn't violent, people just thought it was fun, and that's how it became popular. Super Smash Bros. Melee isn't bloody, and it's an awesome game. Violent games are good if they are fun, but I don't like games just because they are rated Mature.

Yeah, the graphics are awesome. The game is really fun, and anyone that thinks it's too "kiddy" for them, try it before you judge it because you might like it.

I only have 2, but i've only played it for about 10 minutes. Gave it a go before dinner yesterday.
Playing it right now, though. How cool is it when you hover about spraying water :grin2: :grin2: :grin2: :grin2: :grin2: :grin2:

@ Saurgrist
Just got the Rocket and Turbo nozzles. Cooooooooooooooool! :grin2: :grin2:
I now have 52 shine sprites, which 10 of them are secret ones in Delfino Plaza, and I've finished Bianco Hills, Ricco Harbour, Gelato Beach, and Noki Bay. I'm half way through Pinna Park. Is there much more to go?
How hard is the Sand Bird episode... took me f'ing ages!!!!
My fave level so far is the Mecha-Bowser episode, where you get to use rockets on his candy a$$! :grin2: :grin2:
Did you know that if you redo each obstacle course, you get to do a red coin hunt if you hit the switch at the begining, and get an extra shine from each! F'ing hard though!
Also, have you managed to do the Yoshi's Fruit Adventure episode yet? If not I know a MUCH easier way to do it!
How many shines do you have now?
I don't want this game to EVER finish!

I haven't finished the Yoshi thing, I don't know what to do! I'll have to do the obstacles again. I have 53 shines I think, and yes, theres at least two more levels for you to open. I have them all opened. How do you beat the Yoshi thing?

Have you chased Shadow Mario around Delfino Plaza while he's holding the Yoshi Egg? If so, goto to Ricco Harbour and choose level 8 (Yoshi's Fruit Adventure). When you start the level, it will show you two water tank type things that say fruit on the front. Go to where these are, climb on top of one and pound the top... a fruit should fall out. Then pound on the other one until you get the right fuit (the fruit you are after is the spikey type... the type mario can't pick up, he justs boots it forward). Once you have this, kick it to Yoshi and he'll escape from his egg. Then, carry on forward and you'll see some fish jumping about by the edge of the cliff... spray these with Yoshi, and they'll turn to purple blocks. Jump on it... when you get close enough, jump onto the platform. Once here, turn left and you'll see a platform on the cliffs with a tree... jump there, and get Yoshi to knock down the fruit on it... then get Yoshi to gobble them up and he should turn orange (press the B button to eat fruit). Jump back to the preceding platform, and continue spraying the fish and jumping to other platforms. Once on the final platform (where the shine is) get Yoshi to spray the "stuff" and get the shine.
If you don't get the fruit on the cliff, Yoshi sprays the fish purple, and the resulting blocks go forwards making the level practically IMPOSSIBLE!, whereas an orange Yoshi turns fish to orange blocks, which go up, making the level EASY PEASY!!
If you haven't chased Shadow Mario with the Yoshi egg, don't worry, as once you've done enough levels, you'll get to chase him!!
Wooooooohooooooooooo. I got 107 shines now. Just gotta find more blue coins and convert them to shines to get all 120. :grin2:
BTW: The final boss is waaaaaaaaaay too easy.

Thanks ldoodle, I'll try that soon. Yeah, people have been saying that the final boss is way too easy, but the finding of the blue coins and all that hard stuff probably makes up for it.
