So you have your dashboard burned & ready?

If you've got the software ready, just take out the old HD and replace it with the new, format the new HD w/ your dashboard, and you're all set. It's really easy.

What was you old HDD on Master, slave or Cable Select?

Which ever one your old HDD was on then put the new one on that.

ok looks like your gonna have to do it manually. it does get it working after a bit. read the tutorials at www.xbox-scene.com and find the new hdd tutorial. it should get it running

well i tried to the new harddrive in the xbox first over and over before i put it in the pc. i put it in the pc and ran that hdprep, which i question if it did anything cause it only took like 2 secs, when i did the other hd which it was used it took about 6 hours for it to do that hdprep. but on this new hd i did not totally zero it. so my next ? is did i mess up again or is there some thing that i can still do. ive got to step out for about an hour i get up with u later if i can find u. thanks alot man.

hhmmm did you do the auto installer on the new big hard drive? or did you just slam it in there and didnt do anything?
the hdprepar dosent do anything dont use it it suks. do the auto installer on a brand new hard drive that has never been formatted in any way and use it in the xbox. then use xaviers auto installer on it (new hard drive) and it should so it. make sure the jumper settings are set too cable select

Im a little confused, whats new right. above u say use auto installer on the new drive then use xaviers auto installer on it. Is there 2 different auto installers that im suppose to be using???? if so that is my problem. what i did was took the new drive straight from the box, left it on cable select, put it in the xbox and then i burned that xaviers auto installer that u gave me the link to and then i stuck that disk in and i got an error 16. was i suppose to do anything prior to what i just said or is that it?

hhmm yea that seems to be correct. try burning the team xaviers on to a rw disk. and also get the rar file extract the iso to somewhere and in ner goto file -> record image. and find the iso

it should be the same in record now max
