Apparently, it auto-updates itself to the latest dash so the audio/font hacks are plugged for the time being. I don't use live, so I'm not concerned atm.

In fact, I ftp'd in this morning and renamed the xodash directory on C: to xodash_, so the Live option on the m$ dash isn't available, yet I'm still running dash 4920, and my audio hack is still good.

Let's just see if games start auto-updating from the dvd in the future, hmm...

The 'scene' has found a way around it already:

"1. Backup your C: drive before updating to live 2.

2. Update to Live 2.

3. Copy your old xboxdash.xbe and xboxdash data folder to the same place in xbox c: drive using 007 or MA.

4. Boot and the audio hack works.

If you click on xbox live in the main menu it utilizes the new xbox live dash, and does not try to update.

If you want the full features of xbox live2 back on the dashboard, that is, the friends list and voice chat on dashboard, just put the new xboxdash.xbe on c:"
