X-Box Help Please.

ok i bought X2 Pro Complete.. now im not shure what version but im thinking 1.2.... it came with a serial that connects on the back of the X-Box with 4 switches.. what they do im not real shure of.. now i go it soldered on..

so i tried to burn Evolution X Version 1_8_458, my X-box is a version 1.0 to cd-rw.. I know i cannot see the files on windows.. so its the right file structure..

Problem is that i have no clue wtf to do the cd wont load into my X-Box so i cannot load the dash.. im clueless as to what the switches on the back are even for.. i read tons of tutorials, but problem is they all ned Dash..

so my Question is What is the next step?? im wanting to just attempt to get the dash working and put 1 game on the HD just to learn to use the new Dash.. but how do i know if the Chip is even Working??? i am a newb and bought X2"Pro" and not light so that means i dont have a bios?? my assupmtion was im using the default bios whatever that is.. and i load dash on the flash the chip with.."No clue what bios i should get" if i had a name i am shure i could find it on my own.

chip is soldered on per directions from XBox Scene.
it loads up saying X-Box.. With Microsoft Logo..

Please someone give me a hand?? Thanks.

My guess is that it is the BIOS issue, but I know next to nothing about the xbox. We do have a couple of people around here that know tons. Oh, and hey... welcome to the forums!

Ok seems to work now.. only one problem, i turn bank 3 and 4 on, with a working 1.0 bios.. and it loads the X-Box screen with Microsoft logo. now if it wont read the cd/rw with Evo does this most likely mean
1 the modchip is not working?
2 the cdrw is to generic?
3 the dvd rom cannot read the cdrw type media?

Sorry to post so much im just trying my ass off to learn =]

EDIT: PS:
bank 3 and 4 are using- EvoX D.6.bin
bank 1 and 2 are using- EvoX D.6 EjectFix.bin

think those are working, atleast when i turn the switch 3 and 4 so far it loads up. 1 and 2 untested.

Did you eventually get the CDRW working? (evox)

Do you know what type of DVD drive your box has? Some cannot read CDRs/CDRW, so you may have to burn it on a DVD, boot with it, and then install Evox.
Also the logo will not/should not change until after you install the new dash / flash the BIOS, IIRC.

I'm not certain that's exactly the case, but Scyraxxx our console guy knows more about this. Lets see what he has to say. I'll look for the image of the xbox drives...We posted a link here a while back, so it's around..
