Hidden Files?

Hey Guys.
So I have the EVO dashboard and the communications and all seem to be working but I am runnign into a problem.
I am not able to back up my games - more specifically, I can ftp to the xbox, and copy files over from D - but there seems to be files missing.
For example, Enter the Matrix is only 11mb and a few obscure files.
Sims wouldn't copy either.
Actually I have not been able to copy anything other than a working backup from a friend of mine (although I think he may have downloaded it from the internet or something).

Has anyone seen this?
Any suggestions?

Dave

1) Enter The Matrix has long file names (roughly 40 files ). Long file names on a DVD is fine but the FatX structure of your Xbox HD does not support file names greater than 42 characters in length.
Solutions are to patch the game with an ETM patch.(theres a few differant patches available for this)

2) If you are using a Bios like X2 4976.02 or newer then you don't have to patch games for the first generation media checks.
For games with the newer version media checks ( version 2 ) you'll have to use a patcher or manually hex edit the flags in the default.xbe
I find ADR patcher works ok for most v2 media flags ( many differant patchers and rippers around for v2 media check removal).
Then there's the newer version protection that's only just come onto the scene ( another media flag protection again)...so far this newer protection was found in the game 'NFL Fever' and it stops you playing game from the Xbox HD ( there is a hacked xbe available for this game)....Wonder what other games have this protection?

What are you using to rip games to the Xbox HD ie; PxHDDloader 1.2a or DVD2Xbox v4.1 or Xbcopy...etc?

What Bios you using?

More specific gets more accurate answers.
