you cant back-up gamecube games to another disk... yet!

the only way to backup GC is to do likewise with Xbox connect pc to GC then upload to pc, then play from pc via GC... Tut's are out there for this

There are 2 commercial mod chips out for Gamecube now, Viper GC and Ripper GC. As Zafiras said, you still need to network your GC with your PC to make a proper backup of your game, but you CAN burn your image to DVDR and play in the GC now.

I've seen on Torrent sites that you can download entire Gamecube games. On other forums i've heard that people with Dvd-Rw have tried to copy the 'mini-dvds' (not sure what they are) and can read the cd, but not whats on it.

    IF

you could copy this un recognized data and burn it to another mini disk, would It be possible to use a Freeloader to load the game? without using any network cables and PS. Its an idea. I'd sure like to find out if it works.

No go on that Freeloader idea. Only success has been with the chips or streaming with PSO

If you can play the game on the pc and don't want to play on a moniter. You could play on a tv if your video card supports tv etc. Check on the back of both your tv ports and video card ports to look for

S-Vid out -or- (a black port with a rectangle on the bottom and 4 circles)

(well mine says) Comp out (standard video cable used with tvs, vcrs, dvds)

The one i checked on for ports is a older AGP-16Meg, which i don't use anymore. my new Radeon 64 7500LE only supports S-VID and so does my tv, which was bought maybe 2 years ago. So i figure its pretty standard. All you'd need is the S-vid cable not sure how much they are.

Last couple of notes to watch out for: If your card supports standard video cables, just the yellow ones, I doubt the computer displayed on tv will be clear, maybe a little fuzzy. I had this problem. And since i'm in australia and your in england I think we both use PAL right? so there should be no problem with the info i've said, i'm not sure what NSTC uses..

    hope you get it work'en

You can Emulate GCN Roms from Hard Disk but you need certain tools and A Nintendo Game cube Broadband adaptor to tranfer data between PC and GCN, the broadband adaptor cost around US 32$ to emulate GCN roms you need it. Any way you cannot make a fake or backup copy of GCN roms because in a PC DVD reads from inner ring to outer ring. But, in a GCN it reads from outer ring to inner ring this acts a Protection feature for GCN anyway, I've read that certain CD & DVD Burning utilities are able to make a backup copy of the disk..GCN roms contain unwanted data you need to wipe them using a wiper tool like free viper etc.. when you wipe them the size of the rom will be decreased.Example Mario ROM occupies 1.2 GB on HDD but after wiping it will occupy only 400 MB hence wiping is essential. After wiping you can burn the image to a CD or DVD but you can play only by emulating and not by using it in a GCN. The software will emulate the GCN ROM directly from your CD or DVD in which you've burned the image...

Dolphin 1.02 is a emulator which allows you to play these ISO's in a PC without the need for GCN console but the system requirements are really high so atleast try upgrading your system...

    Final notes :
It is illegal to Download GCN disks from internet or make a copy of them or use them... Please support Nintendo...

Here is a list of tools that you may need:
    Gamecube ISO Ripping server
    Paradox Game cube disc server
    Gamecube memory card adaptor
    Gamecube file converter
    Cobra bios
    Star cube
    Wiped GCM Fixer
    Free viper
Card tool - for Editing saves in the memory card
    PSUL
    GC-Tool v 1.2
    GCN disc browser
    GC USB Memory adaptor
GCM Split - to edit GCN images
    GCM Utility
    GCN Encrypt
GC save file converter - Used to convert save games PAL <=> NTSC <=> JAP <=> PAL

DOL is GCN executable format hence you may need these tools also:
    Dol Tool
    Easy Dol maker

Links to the tools were not posted since it is against the forum rules so if you need links to the tools, send an e-mail to me.
