Having a hard time booting v4 no gap

I installed magic 3.1 on ps2 v4 no gap. It boots all originals and ps1 back ups but refused to boot ps2 back ups...are there any other tricks? Thanks.

ps. all other ps2 I modified boot fine.

The way I boot PS2 backups is eject the tray, then press the power button (top right) it resets the PS2 and injects the tray with your backup should boot from there.

Works for me!
