when i do a standard check all is well but if i do a through check it gets to 60,000 sectors of 1,200,000 sectors then reboots itself if i defrag it there is no prob with that any advice please

close all programs, use Enditall

also disable screensaver etc.
then try and scan.

if that doesn't work, try and restart without program startup.
you can change that in msconfig.
