Problems backing up AOM

I downloaded the appropriate patch from this website that is supposed to back off the sounds.bar file. It gives me a runtime error after I select the directory to write to and the CD drive to read from. I hit patch and it gives the error. Also I am unable to extract the outtakes.bik file from the backup disk.

Why will my backup not install abd are there any working patches or fixes out there?

What's the full name of the game? I don't know where AOM stands for...

Anyways, tell us this: what copying programme do you use, what burner do you have, and at what speed are you burning/reading.

or burn it with alcohol?

Depends on what protection this game has, what Writer you have, and what burning program you use (I recommend CloneCD)
