I finally decided 2 buy Unreal 2. Opened the CD case and installed the first disk. No probs. The Install shield did its job (got to about 50%) & asked for the second disk. This is when the probs started.

After inserting the 2nd disk the install shied installed a few more % & then displayes the following error:

"Component Transfer Error
File:E\:data3.cab
Error:dataerror (cyclic redundancy check)"

What the Edited by: micro761 is going on?Should i get my money back?

I have contacted Epic Games & have not yet received a reply.
System: Win XP Pro/ AMD ATH 2000XP/ 512 DDR RAM/ GeF4 Ti4400

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

Received a reply from Epic Games/Infograms advising me that i will need to contact the Australian Infograms agent with my problem and that i will be charged for the call. The call cost is $1.80 + GST per minute. Price subject to change without notice.
Higher rates may apply to public and mobile phones.

Would have been nice for the north American technican to at least give me some advice of how to solve the problem.

When i pay full price for a game I don't expect to pay further for assistance that appears to solve the manufacturer/distributer's error/fault.

This just plain sucks. I will be returning the game with a bad taste in my mouth and demanding a refund. Any other working games worthwhile of consideration????
