How to burn a Playstation2 game

Hello can someone please help,,, I bought a Playstation2 for my young fellow and the Spiderman game,, somehow he managed to scratch the game and it won't play anymore,,, so i went and bought a new one,, now I would like to burn it so I won't have to buy a 3rd game,,, What do i need to do,,, i have a program called Clone Cd and it seems like it won't let me burn the game,, what should I do?

first of all make sure you have your ps2 chipped in order to play backups.

to copy a ps2 game that isn't dvd, just follow a guide for how to copy a psx game (same way).

I like using CloneCD.... just search for it and it comes with the auto setting of "Copy Protected Game" - REad to image file, use that setting, put in a blank, write to image file, (using setting)... bang and often repairs games, also helps if its on a good meda, my playstation prefers Datasafe

you need a dvd burner and a mod chip for your ps2!
some games r on dvd format some on cd but most game r on dvd u can rip the games but it takes time n u'll loose a lot of information like movies n stuffs like that. some cd games need to be patch like the ea games but that depends on ur mod chip new modchips (none swap mods) with this mod chips u don't need to patch the games. if u don't have a mod chip n plan to get one i recomend getting a messiah 2 pro or apple mod chip. there's nothing special about making a ps2 mod chip when u have this kind of mod chip u can use the software that came with ur dvd writer n make a straight backup but make sure to make a tem image on ur hdd this goes for eather cd of dvd games if u have mos chip that requires ea games to be patch then u need cdrwin n ppf-o-matic u can get this on www.megagames.com u can also get the patch codes there also a tutorial on how to patch games! hope this helps m8!
