my friend has a direct boot mod chip and he's been having problems booting an original copy of the game. all other original games boot up fine. he finally got it to work with a gameshark. is there a problem with the games cuz it uses dvd9?

what chip does he have as the magic chips have problems with dvd9 games.They wont always boot them for some reason
