ps1 bootdisk

frustration setting in
looking for a bootdisk for playstation ps1 - the new little white machine - to allow me to play backups of my own purhased valuable software
tried the ones from utilities page - they appear to only work if you have a mod chip fitted

There is no way around this. You have to either buy the original bootdisk or have your pso chipped. To play a copy on your pso, you will need to have it chipped. Get it?
