ps2 dvd r games

my ps2 is modded with a magic 3 chip, i've bought a traxdata dvd+r (grand theft auto vice city) but it would not boot up i just get the red (please insert ps2 format disc) yet the magic 3 chip is suposed to boot up everything. anyone any ideas?

This happens many times m8 try pressing the reset button 2 or 3 times then wait if doesnt work turn the PS2 off and on sometimes its from the cd m8.

Try This, it works for me.

Turn power off from back of machine.

Turn on.

Press eject.

Place disk in.

Press front power button to inject the dvdr back into the machine, it should boot from there.

Might be the media,I think the ps2 likes -dvd-r best

thanks it was the ps2 not the game! all sorted now.
