Hello everyone!
I am really sorry but it seems I have another problem(hopefully the last). When I play an mp3 file in winamp(or wmp) it will play fine but after a few seconds(minutes sometimes) it will skip part of the song and go anywhere from a split second to 2 seconds ahead.
Thanks a lot

This might just be that one file if this happens only with this song. Otherwise, as mentioned above, you might need to defrag your HDD or reinstall winamp.

you still didn't say what Winamp version you got.

use latest Winamp 2 or the new Winamp 3.

It isn't just one files it is all of them. I am using winamp3 but it also does it in Windows Media Player, although it seems a little worse in winamp(e.g. it skips more often and bigger). I already have defragged my harddrive as said above. Could it be a memory issue?

I installed my old winamp 2.81 the songs work fine. Why would they mess up on Windows Media Player and Winamp3. I think it may have something to do with resources the programs take up and since winamp2 it a lot smaller it works better. If that is the case how can I fix it so other things work.

if you have trouble with Winamp 3 i suggest you to use Winamp 2 until they fixed everything.

yes Winamp 3 takes more resources due to the studio etc.

next time please use the edit button.

I am sorry for not using the edit button.
I guess I need to ask is there any setting changes or "tweak" I can do so I have more resources available? I mean running winamp3 or windows media player shouldn't bog down my computer that much. I just spent all my money building this computer so I wouldn't have this problem. I didn't even have this problem on my old computer which had a duron 750 mhz, and 256 of pc133 on win98.

I have plenty of problems with it. It has too much bugs. Not just me, many others too. Also, It's slow, buggy, and inconsistent interface elements all across. All familiar shortcuts that we got so used to over the past three years, all gone. All the older plugins and skins redundant with the release of this version.Check here: http://forums.winamp.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=131
