I just got my PS2 (V7) and would like to backup my games and play the backups. I would like a mod that I dont have to solder and dont have to swap discs (and preferrably do not need an ActionReplay 2 or GameShark2).

Is there anything that will do this?

I do have some knowledge and experience with this. I used to do this for my PS1.

there are no solder mods, but in my opinion they suck. you cant play any games on cdr that are over 650mb, although it will boot dvd r. if you have the luxery of a dvd writer and alot of blanks you can just straight copy your ps2 dvd games. and the no solder mod should be fine, i heard they arent too reliable, i dunno as ive never had one. hope that helps ya somewhat.

Yeah get your self a no-solder modchip with the swap magic 2 disc set.
You can boot anything from 800Mb discs to dvd-r or +R.
This is what I have in my 2nd ps2 and find it to me much better than my solder chip in my other system.
Or you can be like my and get your self 2 ps2 systems and try what kind of chip you like better.
Plus you could sell what ever modded system you think isn't the better of the 2.
Good Luck!!
