I had a problem with my Backup of my original of this game b4, and thanks to someone here they helped me sort it.
Only thing is , I lost the details on how to sort it.:(

the problem has now arisen for a m8 of mine who dearly wants to play this classic game again :(

Well
what happens is , that his backup loaded to around 78% or 87% (cant remember now)
but now when he tries to install it he can only get an option of::
Repair
remove
and
uninstall
he has tried them all , As I did and none work
it still thinks it is on the pc
I know the problem could be sorted with a string of numbers in the registry but I have not got them :rolleyes:

Would anyone here know how to do this ??

i'm sorry to see that this is a problem for you m8, i have now on 4 different occasions placed alot of info on this game and problems that peeps had and each time it was totally wiped out by changing forums/boards and when you dont even get notice of this it makes u wonder if it's worthwhile doing it, and to honest m8 it aint, so back to ur problem ;)

try and open the cd itself and do a manual installation, it also wudnt hurt to do a manuall search for the folders /files that the uninstall has left behind which it does by the way .

Think he means that you should use Windows Explorer browsing the cd and start the installation manually.
