How to get past CD Protection: secuROM

Does anyone know how to get past or disable the SecuROM cd protection thing. I want to make a back-up Copy of Warcraft 3 so i need a tool to disable secuROM and/or what exactly it does. please help.

No way to crack it yet, you should make a copy of the game, and use a no-cd crack.

Yes, as mentioned above. The only way to by pass this is to install your game into your HD. From there apply a NO CD crack and burn your copy of Warcraft 3.

This isn't entirely true. I bought my WC3 when it first came out, and I was able to make a copy of it with no problems, using CloneCD & setup # 1 in my sig. I've heard newer copies of the game have the newer version of Securom that is much harder to copy, if at all...

If you click here (http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd.shtml) it will take you to a site that you can d/l Clone CD + a program call Clony XXL.

Clony XXL will scan your disk, and tell you whay security is on it, then it will tell you how to get around it by using Clone:)

Indeed, using CloneCD and having the appropriate CD-Writer can make perfect backups without having to crack anything.

But I'm sure some hacker will be able to crack SecureROM one day...
It's also recommended (recommended by CLpoo ;)) to write at low speed.

Or you can buy a backup copy from CL, but only if you have the original CD. :)
