imo all its gonna do is take money from underground ppl and put money into the government which can be used to make a city better...so i think it should be legalized

btw mary-jay is WAY safer than ANY cigarette...theres like 50 carcinogens (cancer causing checmicals) in a cig...theres stuff like tar...animal poison...so much sick crap

A nice gambit to the discussion WWH ... and although I agree with the largest percentage of what you say ... I think that MJ is not as safe, in some circumstances, as proclaimed.

Yes it is probably a lot safer, healthwise, than the general issue cigarette, but it is also an intoxicant which can get out of control dependant on the user .. i.e. after a while the stimulation given by MJ may appear to become less effective and therefore other methods are sought to enhance the individuals needs ... possibly leading up to the more lethal stimulants.

Nonetheless I am sure that it will lead to an interesting discussion ;)

yea but did you kno theres like 7 (7 being the highest and 1 being the lowest) levels of awareness of everyones brain...the average is like level 3 and when you drunk it goes down to 1 or 2...but when you high it goes up to a 4!!! higher than average...i learned this from a science teacher a few years ago

yeah in Canada there talking about de-criminalizing it, not legalising it, there is a differnce, just like aborton is not leagal, but it's not criminal either, you can have a legal limit, but nobody but the gov't can sell it, and the main reason is to lessan the load on teh jail system, but, i think the gov't is looking for more money myself

ok i'll tell you a bit abiut myself i was a mj freak nostop and alcoholic as well now that i have stop both my health is 100% fitter than ever before so i'm glad that i gave up the drugs and alcohol i nealy lost every think that ment so much to me my wife and 2 yo daughter. it took me a very long time too wake up to myself that i had a problem with this so if you think that you are doing no harm to your self.You are a fool to your self take a good look at what you were before you started taking the stuff and ask your self or friends what they think of you now you will be surprised of the out come so don't take my word for it that is just my opinon on that matter.

MJ is safer, but only that. A friend of mine smoked dope. Not much, not much at all. Within weeks he became what we casually refer to as a 'dead****'. Slow reflexes, saying stupid stuff in conversations, .etc. He gave it up, mainly because we told him to. Within the same period of weeks he became a new man. It was quite unreal. One minute he's there half-doped and slow as a sedated turtle, and the next minute, he's back to normal. He's actually a really smart guy.

It plays with your mind, maaaaan...:D

theyre goin to take it down to a class C drug in Britain, which means that if you are caught with just enough for yourself on you , then all the police can do if confiscate it, they cant even caution you, unless you have enough to make them think you are a dealer.

this is just stupid, if this happens then Britain will just become like another amsterdam, where you get ''coffee shops'' where the sell you dope right in front of everyone.

actully, dope isnt as 'safe' as everyone says, one spliff contains about ten times as much tar as one ciggerette, and they dont have filters!

the fact that more people die from drink and ciggerettes is just because more people use alcohol and ciggerettes than who smoke dope

if dope is legalised then those people who just smoke dope to be a rebal, will move onto other, more dangerous drugs

Let the fools who only smoke it to be rebels carry on, they'll be in jail sooner rather than later.

If it's legalised then the government can take steps to make sure thtat its as safe as possible and that carcinogen content is minimised. The idea of putting a tax as high as cigarette tax on dope might be too much for the Brit government to resist - maybe then petrol tax could be dropped a bit....here's hoping

u know, the average male has a testosterone count of 100, the average male who smokes around 3 joints a week has a count of 4. u do the math.

if they do legalise it they better control where u can smoke it, otherwise u get people who dont to have anything to do with drugs getting high off second hand smoke, and thats not cool.

It's all about liberty. You cant legislate morality. Marijuana should be legal. The current cigarrette crusade(which paved/is paving the way for the fast food crusade) is just an outlet so some very confused persons can sleep at night thinking they have done some good.
