battlefield 1942 nocd....help!

Greetings and Salutations from Mass,

Can anybody tell me how to use the battlefield 1942 nocd v1.2. I have the v1.2 patch installed, but i just won't work. I have downloaded other nocd's from here and got them to work, but bf42 wouldn't. I downloaded it and it came up as a rar file, am I supposede to rename it to something else(i tried exe and zip just for the hell of it, but those didn't work) Am i supposed to drop it in the battlefield 1942 file in program files just like the other nocd's? Just for the record I did purchase this game for 40$ at BestBuy. I left my copy at my friends house after the Super Bowl and he Lives an hour and a half away. I need to play my game!!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated

A .rar file is like a zip, and is created/opened by the program "WinRAR." There is a 40 day demo version at www.download.com, I believe. There may be other programs that can open it, I'm not sure.

unpack the rar file to a new folder, then copy the .exe to the game folder.
