Having Problems with dvd backups

<sorry if I posted inb the wrong forum, wasnt really sure where to put this>
well, I got this trouble with my ps2 (scph 39001 w/apple mod chip) reading dvd backup games...dunno if its about the chip I got or if there's a list of games that arent supported or some boot disc, etc...
help will be appreciated

are any dvdr games booting at all ?

what way are you booting/trying to boot the games ?

what sort of media are the games on ?

well, the day I took it to the store where they chipped it, after the job was done, the guy tested it with a dvdr (metal gera 2 I think), but other than that I havent tried other dvdr games at all...
I dunno about any method to load games, other than putting them inside and pushin reset :P

I already gave them back to the store (an used stuff store, where I traded that dvdr for silent hill 2 original LOL) and Im not really sure but I think those where mitsumi (sp?) dvdrs...
