what is the point with changing your participation level?? I've always wondered about it and mine is always low.

if your participation level is high then in theory you should be able to download stuff faster as you get put higher in queues than people with lower participation levels. But whether it effects your download speed much at all is impossible to tell.

The main use for a participation level is for other users to see how much you share (higher participation = higher number of uploads to downloads).

why use this crappy cheater.. kazaalite++ has a set participation of 1000 (max) no matter what you download.

i belive the higher participaton level is the the faster severs you use so you get more down quicker and the lower it is the slower it is will download

Basically if you have a higher participation lvl that means you're higher priority than someone wit a lower participation lvl. So even if you have a lvl of 4 you can still get songs just fine. Just something to prevent leeching I guess. Tho illogical cause 56k users can't upload that much.
