i think nintendo are certainly losing there "magical" touch for creating games. the 3 most important games for gamecube will/have come from nintendo, they are luigis mansion, mario sunshine and zelda: wind walker.

luigis mansion: 1st nintendo game for GC, usually the 1st nintendo game is mario, so this needed to live up to it and probably was the best you could get on release from day 1

mario sunshine: Nintendos main selling point, the mascot, mario=nintendo, so this had to be good, a very important game for GC

Zelda: Perhaps the hottest licence in the gaming world, there hasnt been a sigle zelda which has failed. this needs to be very impessive and successfull

ok so now you must be wondering why i say all this....
look at those games, luigis mansion had a vacuum hoover as its feature, mario has a water pump thingy, and link will be able to control the wind( :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: ) why must they inculde these things, it was these features that ruined the game, after playing mario, i wasnt impressed, and luigis mansion, in my view, was pathetic. and link being able to control the wind?? y must nintento include these inovotive little features. i do respect nintendo for there talents in being able to make sumthing different out of games but please, water cannons, hoovers, there suposed to be the most important games for nintendo and they hav this crap in them. nintedno claim that there games, rather than having a specific audience, that there games are good for any ages. well, my mum likes games, she played mario64 and zelda MM and OOT and she loved them, she wasnt impressed with sunshine or LM at all. i know that a lot of you will disagree with my views but some must see a pattern here, luigis mansion got sum bad reviews and mario didnt do very well considering that it is mario. sorry for the length of this post. post your veiws please

Colt .45 i agree with you with 2 of the three things. yes, i thought LM was kinda bad but was still fun. SMS was not too good because of FLUDD. and if you think about Zelda Orical of Seasons and Ages, link controlled time and what season it was. in wind walker he controles the wind, so what? it diferent! and some other games are not too good, like SFA. not enough flying around in the Arwing!

I agree to an extent... I thought LM and SMS were fun, enjoyable games, but would not say they were anything special.

BTW: I don't mean to be picky, but it's "Wind Waker", not "Wind Walker"

u know what happened here we all growth up a bit and sick of nintendo and the childish target.

LM is alright no were near as good as over 1st nintedo games.
SMS well mario had to do something different might not have worked but they r trying.

Zelda wind waker. controlling the wind = bad i dont know its different but it just like controlling time sorta.

overall the games r selling so it cant be that bad

i'm bot saying zelda will be bad, it is almost certain 2 be nintendos finest, but its just the fact that they must include these gimmicks to try and improve the play, why cant they do something origonal, but not gimmicky? ok so zelda majoras mask gave you the chance to change time, but it worked so well, and it was a major thing to the game, it didnt really seem like a gimmik, it was more like part of the game, being able to control the wind just doesnt seem right. however, nintendo do have serious talent, and i'm sure they will make it work very well.....but right now......i'm just not impressed with what i see. first it was the graphics change,(which i didnt agree with) and now this( also dont agree) I am a bit of a fanatic when it comes to zelda, i think it is the finest range of games that are available today, i rally do think they are fanctastic, and whenever i see it in a magazine or on the net, i just feel amazed. but when i see zelda WW in the mags and on the net......it just doesnt seem to set a spark off.......we'll just have to wait and see i guess

I thougt OoT was one of the best games of all times. I think Nintendo should get back to the games like Mario 64 and OoT. Those were really good games. Innovation is always good but not always(new Zelda and Luigi' M)

Well in my opinion, Mario Sunshine was a good game, even with FLUDD. You just have to get used to it.
Just like Wario Land 4 on GBA, it was a great game, but if you compare it with for example Wario Land 1 on the classic game boy, it is completely different.

Well I mostly agree with you COLT, But what really wory's me is how many inovative and new title's can nintendo dish out this year?

I mean they already released most of there killer franchise's last year, What game's really look like must have title's (beside's zelda) this year? Hopefully they pull something new out:)

yes this year the GC will be able to pull a few tricks form its sleves and this year should be called "THE WAR OF THE ONLINE GAMEING"
yeah so as the PS2 and THE XBOX already have their online plans set in motion and doing quite well but where is the GC online? well sure if u think the Phantasy star online counts as GC online system i tend to disagree. but this year will be different as it is know that GC will have a better onling plan and games by this summer and the first online rumuored game By Nintendo could be MARIO KART! ( which would be soo sweet ) and with tihs dvelopers should stat flocking to the GC and making killer games

bah the probably will make an adpater or something to plug into teh contoller slot

yet anotehr reason why the ps2 online plan sucks...2 contoller slots...one for mic and otehr for ONE player...hahah

u 4get, the multi-tap isa available and th i-link so u can link up 2 ps2's, ps2 has the capabillity of having 8 players playing on one console
