stuck on allied assault joining a server

this may sound stupid. but here goes. Ive been playing the demo for a couple months and broke down and bought the game. now the game wont let me join any servers. It says server time out on every game i try to join. and also the retail demo patch wont install it says i didnt install the game . what is going on? it should be simple yes? like all the other games ive installed, usually as a walk throgh for people like me........allied assault that is

the join server might be of a firewall that you have, try decrease the level

does other games work online ?

if you purchased the full game then the demo patch wont install m8, you need the retail patch. ive posted the links here before or just have a quick look in my sig.

I have been playing the demo for sometime now and no problems. It only started two days ago when i bought the game. fire wall is disabled exept my router. also when i intsall the retail patch it says it can not find metal of honor game. but I deleted the whole game and re-installed it three times. getting ready to return the dam game to the store......:rolleyes:

when you first run mohaa with a firewall it asks if you want to give permission for mohaa to access the net, this can also at the same time minimise mohaa to the desktop, then it may join a server but be unplayable due to the game not initilizing correctly you then may have to rekick in mohaa, if it doesnt ask for permission you can actually manually give it permission by adding it to the firewalls permissions. I in the past have actually had to uninstall certain firewalls as mohaa seemed to take a dislike to them even when turned off, so for a test uninstall the firewall restart then try again.

also what are you trying to access the servers with??

if gamespy kick that outta touch and download allseeingeye the best software i have ever used for joining online servers:)

i know same thing happened to me...


firts let me explain...the reason why is u have a v1.00 allied assault and the servers on gamespy are a mix of them...and there are A LOT more v1.11 servers than v1.00

if u dont want to update it then in gamespy on top of where the servers show up there should be a allied assault symbol...click it and a menu will drop down...in that menu press v1.00...now the servers will refesh and it will show all v1.00 servers...it will NOT show v1.11

what language alliedassault u have? english right? and u downloaded the usa/uk patch right? WRONG...thats what i thought but it turned out i had the DUTCH one...mysterious or what lol...but the whole game is in english lol...so try this...go to the site molle gave u or www.planetmedalofhonor.com and d/l the v1.11 patch...try that patch

oh and the PATCH is in dutch...unless u can read dutch... but i coudlnt so i just pressed the buttons that i thought that the words "continue" would be...installed it and works
