Magic 3 Chip won't play some games??

Has anyone else had this problem. I had a ps2 chipped with neo4, but decided to get a new one with magic 3 so i didn't have to do a swap method for dvdr backups. All the games i had on backup cdr worked no problem on neo4 but i have 6 which won't load up at all with the magic 3 chip. The games are Robot Wars, Simpsons Road Rage, GTA III, Legends of Wrestling, Thunderhawk and Half Life. Anybody got any suggestions. The magic 3 is supposed to boot up anything!!! PLEASE HELP. My 2 sons are very dissapointed that they can't play some of these games, and so's my hubby..

sorry to say this but magic 3 is bs! it's not a stable mod chip that's why they made a new one called magic 3.5 but it has the same problem, if you want a good mod chip get an apple mod chip

it's a really stable mod chip i have no problem with it. my friend had magic 3 then he changed it to 3.5 n he had the same problem so he changed it to apple chip. but maybe u don't know how to exactly boot the games with that chip take a look:http://www.gamegizmo.com/index.php?sID=5&dID=88

thanks for your reply. Out of 26 games on cdr backup there is only this 6 that don't load. dvd backups go straight in, no messing which is why i was told to get the magic 3. I understood this to be a good chip. I read on backup central that another guy could boot GTA III on cdr backup with magic 3 no problem. Could it be the way there are ripped?

I would say get the Messiah 2,thats the best chip except it does'nt fit ntsc v6 version consoles,fits every thing else,plus it does'nt mess up the playstation 2 logo

well this also happened with my apple chip i thaught u couldn't boot dvdr eather ok copy the cdr game to another cdr brand n c what happens i did the same thing n it worked

Magic 3 doesn't work with WRC 2 Extreme either. I bought this game in PAL version for my PS2 NTSC version but it doesn't work.
