help please

please help i had windows 98 se on pc went badly wrong so formatted pc and got a copy of

windows sp1 pro


have istalled that with no probs

but i cant get my dvd writer to work with it


no matter what cd recording software i use

nero cdrwin record now max

cdr win says on start up unable to start aspi manager

and no recording device found on scussi or ide bus


please help

try installing the latest Adaptec ASPI drivers.

scan down to ASPI Check/Update.

I recently had a similar problem.

It turns out i hadn't installed windows properly.

Otherwise i agree with Jedi Master install the aspi drivers
