With a Avi to Str program out, can u make movies work on PSX?

Hey all,
I just wondering...if you can convert DVD to MPEG, convert MPEG to AVI, and AVI to STR, is there a way to watch movies with your PSX? I dont own a DVD player, but DVDROM on my laptop....

just a thought, has anyone tried this?

also, are there any bootcds that work like external modchips [ie, have a file explorer, which allows your to listen to songs and watch videos from games]

You can convert DVD to MPEG, mpeg to VCD, and then you can play it on your PSX.

yeah but u need a vcd player for ur psx ;)
