how to boot dvdr on ps2

Hi all, hoping someone can help my ps2 is chipped but i dont know how to boot a dvdr game.
i tried the usual way (swapping from dvdx disk) which works fine with cdr but i only get a blank screen with dvdr

what chip u got and u cant boot dvd-r with a region x

Yep, it depends on which modchip you have.

I,m not sure what chip it is i got about 9 months ago (xmas01) i have opened up my ps2 to see but all i discovered was that it has twelve colored wires running from it

If you cant boot Dvd+R with Region X, what can you boot it with ?

u can boot cdr games with it
