Ive converted some divx movies to vcd soe that i could watch them on my dvd player, now to convert them i have to use virtua dub first to ripped the audio as divx movies have a VBR audio.

Then i load the divx and the audio file into Tmpgenc and convert to vcd using the ntscfilm template as the divx movies r 23.976 fps.

All goes well, burn to disc as a vcd with nero.
But when playing back the film ok except a couple of times in the movie the audio seems to slip out of sync for about 1 minute. When out of sync its only out by about a slpit second, but enough to notice it.
When i say a couple of times its like once on each disc.

But if i run the vcd forward to the same part its fine and when playing the mpeg files on my pc there fine, only happens when watching the movie through.

Can anyone help me to solve this problem ??

n Virtualdub

Open File.
Click file info and check the frame rate.

23.976fps NTSC Film
25.00fps PAL
29.97fps NTSC

then goto the Audio menu
Select Full Processing Mode
Select Compression
In the new window select No Compression PCM say OK
Select Conversion
In the new window select 44100Hz if not already say OK
then File Menu
SAVE WAV

(I've never needed to convert the video stream)

Then into TMPGEnc

Use the original AVI as the video source
and the new WAV as the audio.

forgot to say, click LOAD and load the VCD template appropriate to the FILE INFO fps rate you found in Virtual Dub above.

DivX movies that r 23 fps i have to use the normal ntsc 29 fps, dont think my players to over keen on 23 fps.
