I bought my PS2 second-hand, from a friend who bought it when it FIRST came out, and it still works great for me.

JAG, take a big marker, write "X-Box" on your PS2, and it'll magically work...Right? ;)
Don't get me wrong, I like xbox, but it appears that your biased opinion is getting the best of you.

Then again, I do the same, when talking about the dreaded Nintendo, and all the crappy products they make (including the game cube, what a POS) so maybe I shouldn't talk ;)

I got two of their TV's, a 4 mega pixel cybershot(mem stick), stereo system(s), PSX, PS1; I got no issues other than the facts.

I'm getting a secondary cooling fan for the PS2, maybe improving airflow will help.

Guns don't cause crime. Crime existed long before guns did. Kids and guns had no problems from the 1780's to the 1980's. It was piss poor parental discipline and fragmentaion of the family unit that caused that horror show.

If cigarettes don't kill everyone who smokes them, then the painfully obvious inverse is that not everyone who smokes will die from them.

There is no synthetic global warming occuring. If there is indeed a warming cycle that we are in it is but one if many that this planet has experienced over it's millions of years of existence. This too shall pass, only to happen again later.

And the USA rules over everyone whether they care to believe it or not.

Oh, and the ps2 leaves alot to be desired(cpu speed, available memory, hdd, network interface to name a critical few).
