Hello there,
I've got a problem with XP Pro,When i try to open any folder eg.My Computer i get a message from windows explorer saying -Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. I think its an error asociated with the explorer.exe. This only affects my account only on XP and no other, the last thing that i installed was a Norton Antivirus update. Please someone help me out.
Thanks for your time

Was the last thing you installed Norton Anti-Virus, or was the last thing you did/updated Norton?
You could try updating your version of Windows, via live update, or manual patches from Microsofts main page.

In the worst scenario, it might be your ram. It's probably dying or you do not have enough ram. But it seems your windows explorer is corrupted, best bet is to do a restore on your system.

well then you have to state your problem more specific next time. Now... you tell us. You having that problem cause your user account is probably limited to certain functions. Check the your user options. If everthing doesn't work, use administrator account and del your user account then create a new one and see if it works. In the worst scenario, try reinstalling windows. That's the only way to fix your problem.
