Hey guys.
I've recently decided to buy myself a new console, and i've done some research to find what's better- Wii, 360 or the ps3...

After couple of days, and with the new xbox360 60gb version coming out, i've decided to go with that...

now, i have few questions for all the 360 owners around here...
first of all- what with all that 65 Nm thing ?
How much noise and heat does the machine produce ?
How often does it get damage ? How easy it is to get the ring of death ?
What cooling solutions do you recommend?
and about the backup... how does backup-ing 360 games work ? burnt cd's ? through the harddrive ?

Quick replys will be appreciated...
Thx ahead

With alot of the 360 consoles doing the 3 red rings of death lately you should have gone with a ps3 instead

The "65 Nm thing" put simply is the manufacturing process used to create the 360's CPU, basically it means it'll run more efficently and cooler.

All 360s i've ever used are pretty noisy but its not really an annoyance and they do get quite warm, but as long as you don't cover any of the ventilation vents or keep it in an enclosed space, it should be fine.

The first generation of 360s suffered from hardware faults and the RROD, if your buying from new, it's nothing to worry about, plus RROD problems are covered for 3 years on warrantee, everything else is 1 year.

I don't know about backing-up games, I suppose you would need to have it chipped, but then you wouldn't be able to used it online.

65nm is the manufacture size if the die of the chips.. the falcon board has been made like this to eliminate the ring of death, due to the smaller size of the chips = less heat build up inside the box.

Mine hardly makes any noise at all.

Its not so easy to get the ring of death now with the new falcon board.

When the new dashboard comes out on the 19th next month.. it will give you the option to install games to the hard drive (you will still need the disc in the drive to prove you have the game)

If you want to back up your games, you will need a Kreon drive.. but you cannot play backups on a 360 unless you do some jiggery pokery to it.
