I have problem with graphic in Metal Gear Solid. I just installed game and when I start game I get sound but display is black and writes it can not display nothing because settings are out of range. If I try my older display it says: Signal out of range. And there is no picture. And then i can't get picture back, and must reset comp(CTRL+ALT+DEL or ALT+TAB isn't working, still no picture). Otherwise displays work perfectly.
Game otherwise is running, because sound works, but no picture.
Please help.
My system:
AMD Athlon X2 5600+
Gigabyte M55S-S3 motherboard
Gigabyte GeForce 8800GTS (older version=
4Gb DDR-2 RAM
Displays:
LG flatron L1953PR
19"
old one:
Prestigio P170T
17"
P.S. I use just one display at time, and game is original for PC.

have you tried lowering the refresh rate to 60 hz or similar on the vudeo options of your pc ?
Have you tried patching the game?
I think there was a patch released at some point but I'm not sure where you would find it.

My refresh rate is 60Hz and i couldn't find any patch. I guess its just old forgotten game, that wasn't meant to last so long.

Metal gear solid needs 8bit rendering (or something like that) so on new video cards you can play only in "hardware".
There is patch for it, but it doesent correct graphic problem it corrects freezing problems you can get patch here:
http://66.230.151.198/Patch%20-%20Metal%20Gear%20Solid.zip
After downloading it just extract "vox" directory or copy it to game directory.

I fixed it. It wasn't patch, signal was still out of range. It was analog cable(output), I switched it for digital, and now it works. Graphic is fine, and thanks to patch it probably wont crash.
P.S. I run it on Vista.
Thanks for all help.
