View Full Version : Retail Hitman Blood Money Barely Playable, Even With No Disc Crack

I'm at the end of my rope here, the game keeps crashing to desktop like clockwork approx. every 2 hours with no error. I meet all the recommended requirements and then some for this game. I'm absolutely baffled as to why it's doing this. Is it the program protection? Is there anything I can do outside of app dissection to help this? Programs that I can uninstall, or devices that need to be disabled?

This experience has really soured me on retail PC gaming. All this game security made me feel like I'm being treated like a criminal. I ultimately broke the blood money disc into little pieces I got so angry from all this meddling just to try and get it to work without interruption. Y'know, like it should work by default. Haven't done that since D2: LoD. I never had problems with the Hitman series before this one. Even a ripped version of this with a gift wrapped no cd exe gives me the same problem. What kind of checking do these copy protectors do?

WinXP Home SP2
Pentium D 3Ghz
GeForce 7800 GT
SB Audigy 4
1GB RAM

Help me please.

MGF does not support the use of warez or any game piracy.

Perhaps patching the game will solve your problem and it never hurts your chances to update your drivers.

It is a very odd problem though, I never encountered it when I was still on XP.

It's ironic how these protections almost cater to piracy. Most ppl will agree it easier to have a pirated version of a game or application thats been stripped of its copy protection, activation or whatever it may be. Not that it is right. They should just realize that they will never be able to thwart off piracy and quit ruining legit users of their gaming experience.

Back on topic...assuming you do have a legit copy of the game, have you tried to use a virtual dvd drive like daemon tools and mount a fixed image into it? Could try that to see if that solves your problem.

Update the game. The initial release had a lot of problems that were solved in the patch 1.2. Use either a mini-image or a crack for the mentioned patch.
Th crack can be found on all the three sites. The patch can be found on the dlh.net in the patches section.

Honestly copyprotections do nothing to prevent piracy but lock down legit users
