The Sims 2 v. 1.0.0.1.022

Hello, I'm running Windows Vista and without The Sims 2 upgrade patch to version 1.0.0.1022, Vista says the game has some compatibility problems.

Now I had a fix/patch before, but ever since installed it on my new computer I had to upgrade to the newest patch by EA for The Sims 2 and now I cannot run it because it requires the disk to be in and I don't want to have to insert the disk over and over again. Preferably a patch/fixed exe would be great.

If any one can find me a patch/fixed exe for this version of The Sims 2 (original, no expansion packs), I would be very grateful..

Le me see if I understand what you mean coz you thread is confusing to me. You installed the Sims 2 with some expansions but failed on update and you could not install or run the game

Now you wanna only the original Sims 2 installed coz th expasion give you probs but you cant coz the game is incompatible with Vista and the patch is on the expansion

have you cheked on sites like gamershell.com or simlar if that vista patch is there?

or using compatibilty vista/xp had or cliking on the shortcut and then preperties on the Sims 2 ?

I don't think there are a no cd crack that make the Sims2 compatible with Vista

Used to to be back on old windows games days but seems more rare now unless are cracks for example to make an an xp game compatible on on windows 2000

I'm not running any expansion packs with The Sims 2. I was forced to update to fix the compatibility problem which I kept on getting at the start which means that I could still run the game, but I don't want any problems.

I just need a fix/patch for the original Sims 2, but with the update to v 1.0.0.1022..

I cannot seem to find one on any of the recommended no-cd/dvd fixed exe/patch sites.

Sorry for the confusion then I guess your only option for will be Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% then

I guess was some mini image for the Sims2 at gamecopyword.com but I don't know if EA could put on that patch could put more blackiisting that could avoid emulation to work

And also is a recent released patch ? if so then will take time to get craked maybe 3 week 1 month if it's a old patch now maybe won't be craked anymore since the Sims 2 its an old game now

The patch is waaaay old. He should try a mini-image. There are a few available at gamecopyworld and i remember for sure that one is working with that patch.

As for the mini-image, you remember which one it was?

and how would I do this? do I just mount it or something? would Nero work? or just Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%?

Daemon Tools only. There are 3 mini-images on the GCW, but I honestly don't remember which one worked for me. It's been quite a long time since I personally played Sims2(damn hard space eater).
